In 1997, New Era established wholly-owned subsidiaries in Malaysia, Hong Kong and Thailand. New Era expanded even further with the setting up of subsidiaries in Indonesia and the Philippines in 2006 as well as Taiwan in 2007. This move underscored New Era’s core strategy of strengthening our competitive advantage by creating direct-to-retail distribution capabilities throughout Asia. As part of our regionalisation strategy, we have also forged alliances with strategic partners to sub-distribute our products in Brunei, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and India.
